A brief history of our Sree Balaji Vidya Niketan, an Educational Institution Which has grown from one class room with just about 10 students, to mightier in length, breadth and height, is considered to be a well disciplined and 'A' grade institution in southern part of Bangalore. Way back in 1964 it was started by a band of social Workers with the help of a few philanthropists with inner urge to part free education to coming up youth of Hanumanthanagar area in particular and other area in general. This institution was actually started for the benefit of economically weaker section, as 2-1/2 decades back this area of Bangalore was mostly resided by weaker section of our society with just enough earnings to meet their daily requirements for livelihood.

             With the grace of Almighty, the ambition of these Social Workers and the dreams of Philanthropists, generous donors and well wishers, have become true. At present this institution which has grown to full fledge, is providing education in its own multistoreyed building constructed on a Spacious ground from Nursery to Junior College in the names of SREE KUMARASWAMY VIDYA MANDIR AND SREE BALAJI JUNIOR COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, to a strength of about 1800 students. Education is the backbone of our Society and Country at large as it moulds the youth from childhood to right direction of thinking, building-up of character and realising the responsibility to be a true Indian.

             Our further expansion programme is to build a separate full fledge college for Which B.D.A. has allotted a Spacious site.

             The Institute of Pharmacy has got its own building in a peaceful area Which is ideal for Studies.

            The Institute of Pharmacy has been started to bring out quality Pharmacists with Diploma in Pharmacy who could serve in Community and Hospital Pharmacy. To meet their ever increasing need in Pharmaceutical Industry, Hospital, Community Pharmacy and Drug control department, the Management is planning t start Degree Course in Pharmacy in near future.
